What Do You Do?

Hey Everyone. Thanks for reading, as always. For those of you who haven’t, visit my site and get a copy of my ebook “May, I Work For You” and help me save up for my kid’s college.

Ok, so as you may already know, I’m a part-time writer and blogger, and I tried vlogging as well. I don’t always post as frequently as others do, so I try to write something meaningful whenever I do post. I love posting about memorable moments with my family, the occasional post about something I’m personally interested in, and I almost always throw in something that I think might help someone in any one of the seven modules of A Living System.

Tonight, instead of giving advice, I want to ask for some. That’s right, I’m turning the tables and I’m asking for the advice. The reason I’m asking for the advice is that my approach to lifestyle management is biased. I use A Living System and focus on nutrition, physical activity, relationships, neuroplasticity & learning, habitual thinking, my vision & goals, and autonomy & action. This sounds good and it’s a very effective systematic approach, however, I also know that there are other topics out there that my system doesn’t address.

For example, my system does not address finances. I don’t have any formal education of finances aside from the two accounting classes I took while getting my bachelors. I don’t have any work experience in finances aside from being a gas station clerk when I was younger. And my basic philosophy with money is “make more than you spend and save for a rainy day“. So, in short, I don’t qualify myself as someone who should be giving professional advice on money.

Does that mean money management isn’t important? Goodness No!!

That’s just one example. There are plenty more out there. This concept of stepping outside my box came from another concept: Discussion. The idea behind discussion is to talk about things from different points of views, backed by different beliefs, something contrary to one and other and sometimes in full agreement. So, for this post, the purpose is to spark discussion.

How do you manage your lifestyle? What are some of the things you do to stay physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy? There’s no right or wrong answer, just an opportunity for discussion.
